Finally, an adapter I don’t have to babysit.People suggest the convenience of bluetooth instead of fiddling with both cables and adapters like these. Sorry, not a fan. I’m not into pulsing radiation directly into my brain for hours on end, thanks. Make of that what you will. More importantly, I’ll gladly suffer with the occasional tangle to get the much better sound quality a hardwired connection brings to my ears.Still. I really hesitated on these particular 3.5mm/Lightning jack adapters. Mainly due to their price – and the fact that UGREEN is a chinese manufacturer – albeit, one known for better quality. But double the price Apple charges? Wow. I had a hard time rectifying that in my brain, no question. Especially as I needed at least two.But as soon as I used them for a while, I had no regrets spending the money. These adapters are what you would expect… solid, durable, flexible and good looking… a friction free experience. As it should be. Who wants a high maintenance cable adapter? The lousy Apple ones were always cutting out on me, breaking internally – some even from the box, brand new. Others, after just a few delicate uses (I’ve bought more of those $10 white Apple adapters than I care to admit). I finally said no more.Totally happy with these UGREEN ones. I can plug and unplug to my hearts content now, without fear of disturbing my sonic pleasure. I didn’t realize what a treat that would be!While I can’t say they are physically worth $20 a pop (they aren’t) they do offer a decent value proposition. Not having to constantly fiddle and jiggle a cable or worry about bumping my phone and losing the flow of my music, podcasts, audiobooks etc… is worth it to me.
