It simply didn’t work. I tried using it with my macbook pro. Currently Im using a mini display port to VGA adapter and that works just fine with my second monitor. Upon plugging in the device and connecting it to my 2nd monitor the laptop would repeatedly connect then disconnect to the monitor. So now ive gone back to using the mini display port dongle.

I think it may have a bad power design as the image’s brightness is lost. I bought this cable for the aesthetics, which is a bad reason to choose this cable. It’s not very flexible. You can fold the cable but not rotate it along its length. A regular plastic cable would have been more flexible.
