10 reviews for ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 Graphics Card (PCIe 2.0, 2GB GDDR5 Memory, 4X HDMI Ports, Single-Slot Design, Passive Cooling)

Great for basic servers, simple hackery, and for VM PassthroughsIf you are in the market for… – A simple Nvidia solution with OSX support – A simple server video card – A video card that works in virtually any PCI Express slot…Then look no further. This card will do exactly what you need it to do.It’s the last nvidia card with modern OSX support, which is important for reasons beyond the scope of this review. It has four HDMI outputs, which gives you the all-important productivity factor. It works in anything, including multimedia servers. It is NOT a gaming card, but should be suitable for compact signboard setups. But for me, it’s all about ESXi for non-Windows OS’s.This card is everything I needed, and I’ll be getting a second card for the host machine and so that I have the flexibility to continue jumping between different systems.

  2. Joe Consumer

Old XPS install, worked eventually ! ! !This did not work at first due to my system. People on the Dell site seemed to have a lot of trouble getting a second video card to be recognized and declared it didn’t work. I tried a lot and nothing seemed to work. I left the computer for about 24 hours and then found the card had been discovered in the device manager and was working. So, be patient with old Dell’s.

It stopped my kid from complaining! My kid was complaining that her League of Legend game was too slow and her friends were laughing at her cause her computer was so lame-ass. I stuck the card it, and that fixed all these problems. I like that in a graphics card.

  4. zerk666

Not for gaming, but great for serversDo not expect this board to be able to run any game but works great for servers especially because it has no fan and is pcie 1x!! I guess it could be used to browse the web and do office work!

  5. Michel Brisebois

Not a gamer thingI needed better than onboard video. It will free up some of your system memory as a bonus. If you want to play, it’s ok for emulation and old games, I wish you luck for anything modern. Multimedia is better than onboard and I am happy. Tested with W10 W11 and many recent Linux distros. For office work, multi display, it is perfect. If you have the longer PCIe slot available, get the other version. A bit overpriced finally.

  6. RickC

Perfect for fixed image displayGreat for connecting 4 fixed image displays – eg advertising, shop or window display. Struggles with 1080p video. Causes pciE latency issues with Asio sound cards. FORGET GAMING : 3D performance was about half that of ON-CHIP gpu of a skylake i6600 cpu! Stuggled with scrolling images across 3 monitors.

  7. BNAR

Doesn’t work and lags in my PCI have Nvidia RTX 2060 as my main graphic cards which supports 3 monitor, But I need extra 2 monitors ( 5 total ) , I plugged only two monitor to GT 710 but they are useless because iot lags and puases everytime I use these two monitors.I have high spec PC with 850w power supply, I am not sure if there is something I can do to fix this issue.

  8. Ragtop 007

Works perfectEasy Install, Easy set up, inexpensive solutionworks great running my 2 monitor set up

  9. Amazon Customer

4 Monitors at one time w/HDMIOperate 4 separate monitors, all running on HDMI cables.

  10. Prince Tigarian Mehmud Shahbaz

Excellent product.Worked as expected. You need slim hdmi cables when using on servers. Not compatible with DL580 G7.
